This residency will be accompanied by:

Choreographic development, dealing with choreographic ideas, the need for and the means to learn how to work with a choreographer and other dancers – will all be studied and discussed in detail.
- A presentation of a stage in the work to Norman professionals will take place at the end of the residency.

Jane Mason at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Caen – Basse-Normandie | May 2 – 12, 2011

To complement the ten day residency at the CCN in Le Havre- Haute-Normandie, the CCN of Caen - Basse-Normandie is also offering a ten day residency to Jane Mason.

In the same way, this residency will allow the artist to further develop her work, to better focus her research and to present her work to the community.

This residency will be accompanied by:
- Working with school audiences in Caen, like Seeta Patel in Falaise, Jane Mason will present her work twice to school audiences in Caen, and will also engage in exercises and demonstrations.
- A master class for the students of the conservatory in Caen and young professional dancers. The master class will last for 6 hours (two 3 hour sessions). The relationships between dance and image, film and music, the relationships between a choreographer, videographer and composer – will all be studied and discussed in detail.
- Jane Mason’s new presentation of a stage in the work, result of these twenty days of residency, will be publically presented at the CCN of Caen at the end of the residency. Norman professionals as well as general audiences will be invited to see the new work.
